虫歯予防について
シリーズにしてみようと思います。
1回目の今日は、唾液テスト
です
矯正治療に入る前に、皆さん精密検査を受けていただいています
その中に、虫歯のなりやすさを調べる「唾液検査」があります
五年前から導入したこのテストでは、
2種類の虫歯菌の数・唾液の量・唾液の緩衝能・が分かります
実はこのテストを導入する際、院長・スタッフでかなりの議論
がありました
検査にかかる時間や、培養するための装置などの問題、
患者さんへの説明方法・・・
様々な意見が出ましたが、導入の決め手
は、
患者さんのお口の中を見ているだけでは分からない
ことが、
目で見て分かると言うことでした
